We are seeking an experienced and reliable Vehicle Mechanic to join our lodge team. This role is essential to ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of all lodge vehicles, including game drive vehicles and utility vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on safari/game drive vehicles (primarily 4x4s).
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
• Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and parts used.
• Conduct daily checks and ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and guest-ready.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns in the field when necessary.
• Manage workshop tools, equipment, and spares inventory.
• Adhere to lodge health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with 4x4 and off‑road vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Basic understanding of auto-electrical systems (advantageous).
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license.
